Lodi Hauling

SOLE UX/UI DESIGNER & Low-Code developer

Refreshed a moving and delivery brand for clear information architecture, user-friendly forms, and testimonials for credibility.

Problem

Lodi Hauling is a moving company that has recently undergone significant changes, including adding a new co-owner, an updated logo, and a redefined vision for the company’s future. Despite these positive changes, the company’s website was outdated, incomplete, and lacked coherence with the new branding.

The current website failed to effectively communicate vital information to potential customers, leading to missed opportunities and lost business. Customers have numerous questions regarding eligibility and required information, leading to confusion and hesitation. Important content was scattered across various social media platforms, placing the burden of research on users and potentially driving them towards competitors.

The website’s visual design also had accessibility issues such as inaccessible text-to-background contrast.

Solution

I developed a clear and concise information architecture that prominently features essential information such as service locations, equipment capabilities, hours of operation, and customer testimonials. This ensured that users could easily access the information they needed to make informed decisions.

Then, I designed a user-friendly and intuitive form and interactive elements to streamline the process and reduce user friction. An overhaul of the visual design was done to create a professional and visually appealing interface that resembled their physical marketing collateral while maintaining improved text-to-background contrast for accessibility.

Testimonials were prominently added on relevant pages throughout the site via a dynamic review widget connected to Yelp. The widget displayed average ratings and snippets of reviews directly on the website, providing social proof of Lodi Hauling’s reputation.

Lastly, I updated imagery for clarity and alignment and established consistency in UI elements for a cohesive user experience.
