Ashley Jane Photography

SOLE UX/UI DESIGNER & Low-Code developer

Solved communication challenges for an elopement photographer with targeted galleries and clear package verbiage.

Problem

Ashley Jane Photography is the brand behind a talented photographer who recently narrowed her scope into the niche of elopement wedding photography and needed a dedicated website. This led to challenges in effectively communicating her services, packages, terms, and ideal client profile.

She heavily relied on Instagram and other social media for client communication and portfolio display, which often led to miscommunications and unrealistic customer expectations.

Because Ashley had published every project she was involved in and didn’t have a focused feed, potential customers assumed the business covered all types of photography.

Solution

I implemented a visually appealing and curated gallery section to showcase previous photoshoots that resonate with the client’s ideal audience: adventurous couples seeking intimate elopement experiences in nature settings.

Next, a clear and detailed outline of the different packages, policies, payment plans, processing times, and service offerings was laid out to manage client expectations effectively and proactively deter requests that didn’t align with the client’s passions. By transparently outlining policies and procedures, trust and confidence were built with potential customers while minimizing misinterpretations and disputes.

Then I customized an inquiry form and contact page to streamline interactions and provide the client with the essential details for initial consultations.

Lastly, I introduced a feedback mechanism to gather testimonials and reviews from satisfied customers, further reinforcing the business’s credibility and value proposition.
